Stacking the Shelves #5

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga at Tynga’s Reviews. Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, physical or virtual. This includes books you buy from your local bookstore or online, ebooks, ARCs, and books you borrow from your friends or library.

If you want to find out more about Stacking the Shelves, please visit the official launch page!

Hope you all had a great week and that you are having an even better weekend! This week was a pretty good book haul week, although I didn't get a chance to read too much. I spend most of my week blogging and coming up with a posting schedule because I started loosing track of things.

I will be reading The Young Elites as a read-along on Sunday with my good friend Eve from Functioning Insanity and I am super excited about that. Review for that will come soon thereafter :) But for now, here is this week's book haul :

Ebooks:
Fire & Flood by Victoria Scott
I am very excited to start reading this series. I've heard amazing things from those who read this so when I found it on a kindle sale earlier this week and I just had to snatch it up.

The Iron Queen by Julie Kawaga
This is the third book in The Iron Fey series. I haven't started reading this series yet, but I hope to read it soon. I only own the first book, The Iron King, and I'll probably buy the second book when I get around to reading the series or if I find it on sale :D

The Girl From Krakow by Alex Rosenberg
This book was featured on the Kindle First in August. This is not a YA novel, but the premise sounded super interesting so I had to go for it :)
If you are not familiar with what Kindle First entails, you can check out the details here.

Borrowed from the library:
Stargirl and Love, Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli
This duology is a little bit older (2000 and 2007), but when I came across the audiobooks at the library they totally captured my attention and I decided to check them out. I will probably start listening to them during my daily commute this upcoming week.

NetGalley:
Vengeance Road by Erin Bowman
What can I say about this book that hasn't been said already? It seems like there are lots of ARCs circulating and everyone seems to just love this book. I was so happy when I got the approval email from NetGalley. This book will be released on September 1, 2015. I will do my best to read it before it is released so that I can write my review around that time.

Shattered Blue by Lauren Bird Horowitz
I came across this book when I was browsing the NetGalley catalog and it sounded super interesting, so I decided to make a request, which got approved. Now, I cannot wait to start reading it. This will be released September 15, 2015; it is the first book in The Light trilogy.

Did you read any of these or have any on your TBR list? Let me know in the comments below :)

  3. I've always been curious about Stargirl. I heard good things back when it was first coming out. I hope you enjoy the two - it's nice to go back and read older things sometimes.

Hope all your other books are wonderful as well. :)
